Invitation - May 6 Green Run Homeowners Forum
Special Guests:
Del. Sal Iaquinto and Del. Bobby Mathieson
7pm – May 6, Green Run Clubhouse, 1248 Green Garden Circle
Green Run’s representatives to the General Assembly, Del. Sal Iaquinto and Del. Bobby Mathieson will be present to answer questions and hear your comments. They will also provide an update on new state laws that take effect July 1.
This meeting will be an opportunity for you to discuss state legislation that impacts our community.
As we heard from the City in April, current state law limits the city’s code enforcement and zoning enforcement authority, making it more difficult to stop residents who fail to maintain their property and making it easier for sex shops and nightclubs to open in our neighborhoods.
New state laws also make it harder for the Association to collect delinquent accounts and ensure that everyone pays their fair share of the cost to maintain our community.
Because of the Dillon Rule, many city ordinances require General Assembly approval. So state law impacts more areas of local life than you may realize.
Please show your support for Green Run and show our state legislators that we are concerned and need their help with state laws.
